Kephart Funeral Held in Lamberton

Funeral services were held July 15 at United Methodist Church of Lamberton for Levi N. Kephart, 92, of Sanborn, who died July 13 at the Redwood Falls hospital. The Rev. Fred Shandorf officiated.

Interment was in the Lamberton cemetery with Kluegel Funeral Home of Lamberton in charge.

Mr. Kephart was born June 10, 1876, in Dubuque, Ia., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kephart. He moved with his parents to the Lakefield area. He married Carrie Brown in Spirit Lake on Nov. 16, 1904. They farmed north of Lakefield before moving to a farm north of Revere. In 1926 they moved to a farm near Redwood Falls and in 1943 retired and moved to Sanborn.

Survivors include one son, Maynard of St. Paul; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Ruth) Bigot of Springfield and Mrs. George (Fern) Freeman of Walnut Grove; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Reinhart Rost of Lakefield and Mrs. Ern Pearson of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, three infant sons and 10 brothers and sisters.
